This new-build, two-form entry primary school is set within an open green space. In response to the site's natural setting, the design concept envisioned a series of 'pavilions in a park.' This approach led to four classroom blocks, each connected by covered walkways to a central activity hub housing the school's hall, dining room, kitchen, and administrative facilities.
A welcoming double-height space marks the main entrance, which also functions as the school library, creating a vibrant and inclusive heart to the building.
Outdoor space played a key role in the design, with two grass pitches built to Sport England standards and a multi-use games area included. The central courtyard has been landscaped to support learning through nature, featuring planted areas and ecological zones. Additionally, each classroom opens onto its own dedicated outdoor teaching space.
The project achieved a BREEAM rating of 'Very Good,' reflecting its strong sustainability credentials.
